Thought todays lecture was very inspirational, lots of ideas, great documentary!
Very good discussion afterward.

Heros 'n Villans to me was not really my cup of tea shall we say; my hero is my Dad and always will be, that can never change and nobody would ever relate to an image of my Dad.
That being the case, I have been doing photography for 3 years now and not got one image of him, surely that has got to change.

What was mind blowing for me was the ICONIC image, actually researching painters, photographers, artists; maybe putting my twist and pun in to an image or work of art that people would recognise.
I don't really want to copy it as Rankin did, but more bring it up to date in a contemporary fashion and add a twist, add my humour, add a bit of a pissed saturday night into the full image. Use the people around me, the world I live in, make it fun and make the viewer smile but at the same time use everything I have learned to produce a technically good image.
My preference would always be film, but for a lot of my practice images and shoots I'm going to be using digital, yet saying that my images will all be sorted in camera and not tweaked with software.

My head is full of inspiration after today and just farting ideas, trying to capture them on paper is the hardest part, whilst building up the confidence to actually take them.

Watch this space and as Robson Green says on his extreme fishing 'Let the visuals speak'.
